Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be working directly with the Group finance team and will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
  • Oversee recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate selection, onboarding, and training.
  • Manage employee relations, handle grievances, and ensure a positive workplace culture.
  • Support the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Help perform reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts.
  • Aid in managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Assist with conducting financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Support compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits.
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and processes.
  • Help develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
  • Stay informed on industry developments and changes in accounting regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior HR and administrative staff.
  • Develop and deliver HR-related training programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting and financial experience, with exposure to senior-level tasks.
  • Experience in audit is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with financial software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels.
